In the eyes of many, the prime minister Najib Tun Razak is already guilty for allegedly possessing a sum of money in his personal account which the Wall Street Journal originally-claimed as USD700 million (US$1 = MYR3.075, 2010 / US$1 = MYR4.3772, 2015).
Note that the connection of that US$700 million and the 1MDB is yet to be proven. (if there is any, be kind enough to share with me in the comment section)
But everyone was amused when some leaders from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) actually tried to justify the act by claiming the money was to fight the Zionists, and also as a token of 'thank you' for the commitment of Malaysia in the Palestine-Israel issue.
Anyway, note that this piece is not aimed to defend the prime minister, or the ill-managed 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), the company's group executive director cum president Arul Kanda Kandasamy, or even the Barisan Nasional-led Federal Government.
And this article is neither meant to discredit the critics of 1MDB, namely the fourth prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the member of Public Accounts Committee Tony Pua Kiam Wee, or anyone in between.
For the 1MDB debate, majority of the Malaysians, especially the judge of the el tribunal público were eager to see it happen live on television.
But Pandikar, for the sake of protecting the integrity of the PAC, and the Lower House, and the Parliament as whole, decided that it must be stopped.
Last week, he had ruled out that Pua must resign from being the PAC member, or abstain from any future 1MDB proceeding.
Pandikar also said Arul Kanda could no longer be the star witness of PAC proceeding if the latter wishes to proceed with the debate, no matter if it is with Pua, or anyone else.
Pandikar said, if both of them wish to ignore his ruling, the speaker will voluntarily resign from the post.
Like it or not, 1MDB will always be the nation interest, and it will be remembered as what it is now in the future.
Even if the PAC, the Lower House Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia said is expected to table the proceeding report before the end of this year, it is safe to assume that not many will believe.
Even if 1MDB manages to conclude its rationalisation plan by the year-end, it just won't be enough to convince the judges of the public court. Once you have been found guilty by the el tribunal público, you are doomed.

These sets of graphs had shown that the issue of 1MDB is among, arguably the most discussed about issue in Malaysia's current affairs. But it is slowly fading, and the hype is just not there anymore.
Like some of the writers claimed, the human has a 100-day memory.
